As District Magistrate of Chitrakoot, he has appealed to the people to trust government schools. He says that here children get education, nutrition, security and values. Pulkit Garg admitted his daughter Siya to the playgroup of Anganwadi attached to the government school located in Naya Bazaar area of Karvi. According to reports, he had gone to school about four days ago and completed the entire admission process.

Talking to Hindi media Dainik Bhaskar about this, Pulkit Garg said, ‘The quality of government education has improved a lot. Now the situation is not like before. The level of education has continuously improved and there is no dearth of resources. He questioned that when an IAS officer can send his child to a government institution, why should a common parent hesitate?
He said that especially in government schools and Anganwadi centres, the condition of infrastructure, learning material and overall environment has changed. Nutrition, health, values and a safe environment are very important in the early years of a child. Anganwadi centers are doing a good job in providing these essential items while helping children learn and grow.
He appealed to the parents, villagers and officials to rise above social discrimination and trust the government education system. Here children get education with values, safety and care. Only when people trust it, this system will become stronger. He told that since admission in Anganwadi, Siya has been actively participating in class activities. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the IAS officer’s daughter can be seen mingling with all the children in the Anganwadi and participating in activities.
