Star Mumbai Indians opener celebrated his 38th birthday on April 30th as day ahead of MI’s clash against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
On this special day, Rohit was seen messing around with RR skipper regarding his actual birth date. In a video shared by RR on their social media, Samson went to Rohit to wish him on his birthday but the reply by Rohit left the wicketkeeper batter puzzled.
In a video, Sanju Samson can be seen asking Rohit Sharma ‘kal aapka birthday hai (is it your birthday tomorrow)?’ To this Rohit replied with ‘kal tha (it was yesterday)’ and suddenly changed his statement to ‘aaj bhi hai (it’s today also).’ After that, Samson hugged Rohit and finally wished him on his special day. Further in the video Rohit reunited with former India head coach Rahul Dravid with whom he won the 2024 T20 World Cup as captain. The video was shared by RR with a caption ‘Never change, Sharma ji!’

RR to take on in-form MI in upcoming IPL 2025 clashj
After registering a famous win in their game against Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals will now take on in-form Mumbai Indians in match number 50 of IPL 2025 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 1. After five consecutive losses in a row, RR finally got back on the winning track against GT with 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi stepping up with his 38-ball 101 runs.
With this win, RR still haves hopes to qualify for the playoffs but they now have to face MI who are coming after five consecutive wins and are standing at the top three in the points table. It will be a do-or-die encounter for RR as they will be officially eliminated from the playoffs race after losing against MI.
