Bumrah looked sensational with the ball against the Lucknow Super Giants, and he made life hell for the batters out in the middle. He started off by picking the wicket of Aiden Markram in the first over to take Mumbai Indians off to a great start.
Bumrah also made sure to confirm the win for Mumbai Indians with his bowling in the 16th over as he bagged three major wickets of David Miller, Abdul Samad, and Avesh Khan to leave LSG reeling at 142/8.
On the second ball of the over, Bumrah dismissed David Miller with a full toss as the batsman was caught by Corbin Bosch. Then, he bowled a sensational slower yorker to rattle the stumps of Abdul Samad for 2 on the fifth ball of the over.
Jasprit Bumrah wasn’t done there as he bowled yet another yorker and dismissed the stumps of Avesh Khan for a golden duck. Notably, Bumrah finished his spell with sensational bowling figures of 4/22.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians beat the Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs at home. After posting 215/7 on the board, they bowled out Lucknow Super Giants for 161.

Speaking to the broadcasters ahead of the match, Jasprit Bumrah’s teammate, Will Jacks, said that the Mumbai Indians have finally found a settled playing XI. He stated:
“I think we found the right way to play our cricket. We were searching for it in the first few games. We have had a settled XI in the last four to five games. That obviously helps. We have found the rhythm. We would lose our way on either side of the powerplay with the ball; to get through that and play well in the middle overs, where we are strong.”
Will Jacks further said that he is not a part-time bowler, but a proper all-rounder. He stated:
“I would like to think so that I have left behind the part-time bowler tag. I personally have left it a long time back, but everyone keeps bringing it up. I have to keep doing well and keep pushing myself harder.”
“Every time you play, it is a big occasion. We need to keep progressing our game and make improvements. We need to be incredibly competitive. You want to do well every time you come to a new franchise and a new environment. You need to perform for yourself and prove it. I want to achieve a hell of a lot of things. I need to keep getting better to do that.”
