New Delhi: Indian e-commerce platforms – Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and Softbank-backed Meesho have announced their seasonal hiring as the major platforms are hoping for a surge in demand over the upcoming festive season.
Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho and Myntra have created over 4.8 lakh seasonal job opportunities across their supply chain, logistics, and customer service operations.
Meesho generates over 1 mn job opportunities
On September 2, 2025, Meesho announced to create over a million job opportunities through its sellers network as well as logistics space to tackle the rush of the upcoming festive season. The e-commerce platform said the jobs will be made available in the logistics sector – for performing tasks such as picking, sorting, loading and unloading.
Notably, 70 per cent of these 12 lakh seasonal jobs are based in tier-3 and tier-4 cities in the country.
“By empowering Indian businesses, manufacturers, and logistics partners, our focus remains clear — to make e-commerce inclusive and accessible for every stakeholder,” said Sourabh Pandey, CXO, Fulfilment and Experience, Meesho.
Flipkart job opportunities
E-commerce major Flipkart has announced to create over 2.2 lakh seasonal job opportunities, ahead of the festive season. The company will focus on Tier 2 and 3 cities.
“In the lead-up to the festive season, Flipkart is scaling employment opportunities, infrastructure, and tech deployments across 28 states. With the creation of over 2.2 lakh+ job opportunities, expanded last-mile reach, and inclusive hiring across Tier 2 and 3 cities, Flipkart’s ecosystem-first approach this festive season is built for scale,” it said.
Amazon India creates over 150,000 seasonal job opportunities
Amazon India has confirmed to generate over 1.5 lakh seasonal work opportunities to ensure smooth business during festive season. The direct and indirect job opportunities will be based in more than 400 cities across India, including cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Hyderabad among others.
“Amazon India today (Monday) announced that it has created more than 150,000 seasonal work opportunities across its operations network of fulfilment centres (FCs), sort centres and last mile delivery stations, as it gears up to serve millions of customers during the upcoming festive season,” according to a release.
Myntra jobs
Fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform Myntra has announced over 11,000 new job opportunities through its partners to tackle the anticipated increase in demand during its upcoming festive sale.
