People do less exercise as compared to summer. Due to these reasons, fat starts accumulating in the body and cholesterol level may increase. In such a situation, special caution is needed. These things can increase cholesterol in winter

Dr. Subhash explains that if you add ghee to any vegetable and the ghee is hot then it can be harmful. It contains more saturated fat, which can increase bad cholesterol. You should eat limited quantity of ghee in winter. Apart from ghee, avoid eating all types of fried things like samosa, kachori or pakodas. This is because they use refined oil which can increase the amount of bad cholesterol in the body.

Irrespective of the season, eating red meat in excess can spoil your health. It contains high amounts of fat and cholesterol. In such a situation, eat it in small quantities. If you are a heart patient then it is advised not to consume it. Apart from these things, you should also avoid eating excessive amounts of sweets in winter.
