A Flatter, More Uniform Design
According to the leaked renders, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to move toward a flatter overall design. The display is framed by slim, even bezels, and the front keeps a centered hole-punch camera. The frame itself looks flat, with softly rounded corners that give the phone a cleaner and more balanced profile compared to earlier Ultra models.
Two colour options are visible so far: Cobalt Violet and Black. Cobalt Violet, in particular, stands out as a likely signature shade for this generation. While Samsung typically offers more colours at launch, these are the only finishes shown in current visuals.
A Unified Camera Island on the Back
One of the more noticeable changes appears on the rear. Instead of separate, individually protruding camera lenses, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is shown with a single camera island placed in the top-left corner. The module still protrudes, but the layout looks more structured and intentional.
The S Pen is also clearly visible in the renders, reinforcing that stylus support remains a core part of the Ultra identity. That’s an expected move, but it signals continuity in how Samsung positions its highest-end Galaxy phone.
What the Early Hardware Details Suggest
On the specifications side, the leaks point to a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. Software is expected to be Android 16 with One UI 8.5 on top, keeping the Ultra aligned with Samsung’s usual update cadence.
Powering the phone could be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with at least 256GB of internal storage. The device is tipped to measure around 7.9mm thick, weigh roughly 214 grams, and include a 5,000mAh battery with wireless power sharing support. On paper, this suggests refinement rather than dramatic changes in size or battery capacity.
Camera hardware is said to include a 200-megapixel primary sensor, supported by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. A 12-megapixel front camera is also expected. As with all early leaks, these details could still change before launch.
Unpacked 2026 and What to Expect Next
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 Ultra alongside the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy Buds 4 series at its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25. The date hasn’t been confirmed at the moment, so stay tuned for the official details.
