Vivo has begun teasing the Vivo V70 series in India, confirming the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite with flagship-style hardware. This V-series generation introduces an Elite model for the first time, marking a new split within the lineup.

According to a by Android Headlines, the Vivo V70 Elite price in India will start from under Rs. 50,000. The pricing is in line with our analysis of the handset’s specifications and its positioning just below the recently launched Vivo X200T.

Additionally, the Vivo V70 price in India will likely fall in the country’s sub-40K segment. The Vivo V70 series will likely be a rebranded version of the S50 series, which was unveiled in China back in December.

Vivo has not announced the launch date, but the listing mentions the India-focused “AI Holi Portrait” feature operates between February 19th and March 15th, hinting that sales or availability may align with that festival window.

The Vivo V70 Elite features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, while the standard Vivo V70 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. At least one Elite configuration includes 8GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB UFS 4.1 storage.

The Vivo V70 series shares a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED screen with HDR support and 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo lists peak brightness at 5,000 nits. The phones feature an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy frame and offer IP68 and IP69 ratings, aiming to protect against dust and water in everyday conditions.

For imaging, Vivo continues its partnership with Zeiss on the Vivo V70 series. The rear module offers three cameras: a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP Zeiss “Night Telephoto” camera, and an ultrawide lens. The setup supports 4K 60fps video recording and 4K HDR video capture for higher dynamic range.

The front camera on the Vivo V70 series uses a 50MP sensor aimed at detailed selfies and video calls. Vivo highlights AI-based features including “AI Petal Shower”, “AI Magic Weather”, and the India-focused “AI Holi Portrait”. These modes target creative portraits and festival shots, especially during the Holi period.

The Vivo V70 series includes a 6,500mAh battery supported by 90W fast charging. Vivo also mentions multi-scenario bypass charging, designed to reduce heat during intensive use. Hardware extras include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an X-axis linear motor and advanced 4D vibration feedback to add impact during gaming sessions.

On the software side, the lineup ships with Android 16 running under Vivo’s OriginOS 6 skin. The brand commits to up to four years of OS updates and six years of security patches for the Vivo V70 series. This longer-cycle support may appeal to users who keep phones for several years.
