Border 2 vs Mardaani 3 box office collection: The box office battle between Border 2 and Mardaani 3 has turned into a clear showcase of scale versus momentum. While Border 2 continues its thunderous run well into its second weekend, Mardaani 3 has made a steady and confident start, driven by audience loyalty to its lead character.

Starring Sunny Deol, along with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, Border 2 has crossed a major milestone by grossing over Rs 372 crore worldwide within just ten days of release. On its second Sunday, the war drama earned more than Rs 22 crore net in India, signalling a strong weekend recovery after weekday dips.

As per Sacnilk, the film’s domestic net collection now stands at Rs 275.25 crore. Of this, Rs 329 crore comes from the Indian gross, while overseas markets have contributed Rs 43 crore. Trade observers note that the film’s second-weekend jump reflects sustained word-of-mouth and repeat footfalls, especially in mass circuits.

A look at the day-wise trend shows a powerful opening. The film collected Rs 30 crore on its first Friday, followed by Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 54.5 crore on Sunday. Republic Day Monday proved massive with Rs 59 crore, before expected drops during the weekdays. The second weekend, however, revived momentum, pushing the film closer to the Rs 400 crore club.

On the other hand, Rani Mukerji’s return as Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3 has drawn attention, even while sharing screens with a box office giant like Border 2. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the crime thriller collected approximately Rs 17.5 crore over its opening weekend, according to Sacnilk.

The film opened with Rs 4 crore on day one. Collections jumped to Rs 6.25 crore on Saturday and reached an estimated Rs 7.25 crore on Sunday. Occupancy levels grew through the day, peaking during evening shows at nearly 50 per cent, indicating strong audience interest.
