The name of the woman who did this terrible thing is Rupa Hanumantha Gowda (27). She killed her three children – Samridhi (5), Pritam (4) and Sukshitha (2) by hanging them from the roof of the house. After taking the children’s lives, Rupa herself attempted suicide by drinking diesel. At present, Roopa’s life is out of danger and she is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Bagalkot. But, the news of the death of three innocent children is heartbreaking.
Is mother-in-law’s harassment the reason?
According to initial information, the main reason for this entire incident is being said to be harassment of mother-in-law Renavva. Roopa was married to Hanumantha Gowda on 10 December 2018. Hanumanth was running his household by working in a finance company in Badami. But, after marriage, there were frequent fights between mother-in-law Renavva and daughter-in-law Roopa. Recently this quarrel had increased a lot. It is being said that fed up with her mother-in-law’s daily taunts and mental torture, Rupa gave up on life and took this dreadful step.
As soon as the news of the death of mother and children was received, there was mourning in Hiremuchhalgudda village. The villagers are very angry at the fact that there were other ways to solve the family problem, but the mother sacrificed her innocent children. People are also expressing their anger against those responsible for this incident.

Badami police reached the spot of the incident and started investigation. The bodies of the children have been sent for post-mortem. Police are conducting further investigation based on the statement of mother Roopa admitted in the hospital and information received from local people. This case has been registered under family dispute and the whole truth will come out only after investigation. Overall, it is very sad that a domestic dispute took away three innocent lives even before it came out.
