Mumbai had a target of 163 runs, which the team achieved in the 19th over. But in the 18th over, there was a strange incident that surprised everyone. Sunrisers’ fast bowler Ishan Malinga was putting an over. Tilak Verma took a run off the first ball of the over. Now Mumbai needed only 1 run to win.
After this, captain Hardik Pandya was out on the next ball and Naman Dheer came to bat for his place. Naman could not score runs on two consecutive balls. On the fifth ball of the over, there was a strong appeal against Naman against Naman and the umpire gave him out. Naman took DRS challenging the decision.
Naman returned from the field without judgment

After a while the ball tracking replay came and Naman was officially declared out, but by then he had gone out of the field. This lapse became increasingly viral on social media and fans fiercely questioned the negligence of the umpires and the working style of the BCCI.
Some fans wrote, “Such rules are not ignored in street cricket!” – So some asked the BCCI whether the umpires were not given complete information about the rules?
