Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed the bhoomi pujan of the Ujjain-Jawara Greenfield Four Lane Project worth Rs. 5017 crore in Nagda. 35 lakh people will benefit from the road.
Bhopal/Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed the bhoomi pujan of the Ujjain-Jawara 4-lane greenfield road project at Nagda in Ujjain district on July 10. Karnataka Governor Dr. Thawarchand Gehlot was also present on this occasion. This 98.73 km long four-lane road, to be built at a cost of about Rs 5017 crore, will play an important role in the development of Malwa region. The government claims that this will give new impetus to trade, industry, tourism and investment, and will also create employment opportunities for thousands of people.
During the programme, the Chief Minister announced many development works. He also inaugurated the new Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central School) at Nagda along with the Governor. On the same occasion, the Jan Seva Prahari Network started by the Ujjain district administration to promote road safety was inaugurated, in which the Chief Minister also distributed helmets to the people. Apart from this, a book based on Farmer Producer Companies was released and benefits were distributed to the beneficiaries of Livelihood Mission and Sambal Yojana.
CM Mohan Yadav News: Malwa’s development model will change with the road worth Rs 5017 crore
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Nagda has received two big gifts simultaneously – a greenfield road worth Rs 5017 crore and the second Kendriya Vidyalaya. He said that after the construction of this road, there will be a new beginning of development of the entire area and economic activities will accelerate in Nagda and surrounding areas.
He said that Malwa region has always been entrepreneurial and the people here have special abilities in business and industry. Taking aim at the Congress, the Chief Minister said that despite ruling for a long time, the expected work was not done on the development needs. He alleged that the focus was on power instead of the development of the country.
Chief Minister’s big statement on development works related to Simhastha 2028 and Mahakal Lok
The Chief Minister said that the country is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the world’s highest railway bridge built on Chenab River in Kashmir is an example of India’s strong will. He said that keeping in mind the Simhastha to be held in the year 2028, roads, transport and other facilities are being rapidly expanded in Ujjain and surrounding areas. Coordination is also being done with various states for the convenience of the devotees. The Chief Minister said that after the formation of Mahakal Lok, tourism has got a new identity in Ujjain. Earlier, where around 60 to 70 lakh devotees used to come in a year, now this number has increased to more than 8.5 crores.
Madhya Pradesh Investment: Government’s focus on expansion of metropolitan cities and foreign investment
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is working towards developing Indore and Ujjain as a big metropolitan area. Dhar, Dewas, Shajapur and Ratlam have also been included in this scheme. Similarly, there is a plan to connect Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha, Narmadapuram and Ashta in Bhopal metropolitan area. In future, Gwalior and Jabalpur will also be developed as metropolitan cities.
He said that foreign and domestic investment is coming rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. Large industrial investments are taking place in areas like Pithampur, Vikram Udyogpuri, Shivpuri and Guna. A large number of cement plants are being established in the state and the government is giving priority to industry, infrastructure and employment generation.
The Chief Minister said that the government has received investment proposals worth about Rs 30 lakh crore, out of which work on investment of Rs 10 lakh crore has started.
Pea plant and PepsiCo project announced for farmers
Addressing the farmers, the Chief Minister said that a pea processing plant will be set up in Nagda area at a cost of about Rs 15 crore. With this, farmers will get better prices for their produce. He informed that PepsiCo plant is also being established at a cost of Rs 1250 crore. For this, advising the farmers to increase potato production, he said that the government is trying to increase the income of the farmers by linking farming with industry and market.
Government’s claim on Ladli Brahmin scheme, budget and development works
The Chief Minister said that the state budget has continuously increased. In the year 2002-03, the state budget was approximately Rs 20 thousand crores, while in the year 2026 it has increased to Rs 4.38 lakh crores. He said that the government has given pace to the development works without imposing additional taxes on the public. Referring to Ladli Brahmin Yojana, he said that the scheme started with Rs 1000, which has been increased to Rs 1500 and till now an amount of more than Rs 60 thousand crore has been transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries. The Chief Minister assured that whatever schemes the government announces, it also completes them on time. He said that the target has been set to complete the construction of Ujjain-Javra four lane project by next year.
35 lakh population and 62 villages will get direct benefits
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that Indore-Pithampur Greenfield Economic Corridor and other road projects will give a new direction to the economic development of Malwa region. Keeping in mind Simhastha 2028, about 30 km long ghats are being constructed in Ujjain. He said that there is a plan to start metro rail service from Indore to Ujjain in future. Also, Nagda will get better connectivity with Delhi-Mumbai rail corridor through new railway lines. Work is also being done towards a new airport for Ujjain division.
The Chief Minister said that the Greenfield Four Lane Project will directly connect Ujjain to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This road will pass through Ujjain South, Ghattiya, Nagda-Khachraud, Alot and Javra assembly constituencies. This project will directly benefit about 35 lakh people and 62 villages. Under the road construction, 3 rail overbridges, 9 major bridges, 26 medium bridges and 417 culverts will be constructed, which will give impetus to industrial, agricultural and business activities.
Nagda Central School: Classes will start from July 30
Karnataka Governor Dr. Thawarchand Gehlot said that the Ujjain-Javara Greenfield Corridor is targeted to be completed before 2028. Praising the Jan Seva Prahari Network, he said that it is an important initiative for road safety. He informed that classes will start in the new Kendriya Vidyalaya of Nagda from July 30. Here, along with central employees, other parents will also be able to get their children admitted.
