Eyewitnesses said that in the morning, his eyes fell on the dead dog in the colony. After this, he saw in CCTV cameras installed nearby. In CCTV, a pickup came in the street. Then a dog started barking on the female dog resting on the roadside. Angered by this, the driver of the pickup first tried to crush the dog.

A case has been registered against him in other sections along with animal cruelty.

Regarding this incident, animal rights workers and law experts said that killing stray animals also falls under the category of crime. If anyone kills or causes any pet or Ara animal under Section 428-29 Tea of BNS, then it is a punishable offense. Section 11 of the Animal Cruelty Prevention Act 1960 also says that cruelty to any animal is illegal.
