On the 649th birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that his work, sadhana and divine speech are the inspiration for ‘Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat’. The government is strengthening social harmony and national unity by preserving the legacy of the saints.

Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday participated in the program organized on the 649th birth anniversary of Saint Shiromani Sadguru Ravidas Ji. On this occasion, he inaugurated the statue and auditorium of Sant Ravidas Ji at Sant Ravidas Math located at Barabirwa, Kanpur Road. The Chief Minister said that Saint Ravidas was revealed 649 years ago in Sir Govardhan of Kashi. Even after so many years, his divine inspiration is illuminating the society and showing the direction of building ‘Ek Bharat – Shrestha Bharat’.

Even during the era of foreign invaders, Saint Ravidas showed the path of action.

CM Yogi said that during the time of Saint Ravidas, the country was suffering from foreign invaders, but he gave a new direction to the society by changing the purity of meditation into the practice of action. He explained the path of worship according to Vaishnav tradition, in which primacy of action, purity of mind and public welfare were kept paramount.

Saints did the historic work of uniting the society

Referring to the sentence of Saint Ravidas, “Man changa to kathoti mein Ganga”, the Chief Minister said that every outcome of life depends on karma. After receiving initiation from Saint Ramanand, Saint Ravidas united the society through Karma Sadhana. CM Yogi said that in the medieval period, Jagadguru Ramanandacharya set an example of social unity by making 12 disciples from different castes. This work done by the saints was amazing and the foundation of modern India also rests on it.

Saint Ravidas’ words never go in vain: CM Yogi

The Chief Minister said that Saint Ravidas’s dream was to have a state where no one sleeps hungry and everyone gets a respectable life. He said that the words of saints never go in vain. After 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, bank accounts of the poor were opened, they got housing, toilets, gas connections, free electricity, ration and health facilities. The spirit of ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’ also has the inspiration of Saint Ravidas at its root.

Double engine government expressed gratitude towards great men

On the inauguration of the auditorium, the Chief Minister said that this government is working to express gratitude towards great men. With the construction of the auditorium, programs will be organized in all seasons. He told that now four lane road, huge langar hall and a grand statue of Sant Ravidas ji has been installed in Seer Govardhan. 50 thousand people can eat together in the langar hall. All this is the result of the commitment of the double engine government.

Appeal to be cautious from divisive forces

CM Yogi said that divisive forces will try to divide the society, but remembering the era of slavery, they should not be given the opportunity to raise their heads. He said that the entire nation benefits from the achievements achieved through the spiritual practice of saints and everyone should work unitedly for the unity and sovereignty of the country.

Comprehensive revitalization of religious and cultural places in the state

The Chief Minister said that more than 1200 religious places including Maharishi Valmiki’s Lalapur, Saint Tulsidas’ Rajapur, Maa Vindhyavasini Dham, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Shuktirtha, Naimisharanya, Mathura-Vrindavan and Buddhist Circuit have been renovated in the state. He said that the government is moving forward based on PM Modi’s inspiration of “Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vikas”.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wished Magh Purnima

While congratulating Magh Purnima, the Chief Minister said that Mother Ganga should fulfill everyone’s wishes. He described the sadhana of the devotees doing Kalpavas in Prayagraj as a living example of Sanatan tradition and said that only hard sadhana makes a person capable of facing difficulties.

Referring to the story related to Saint Ravidas and Mother Ganga, CM Yogi said that as is the feeling, so is the result. The divine speech and sadhana of Saint Ravidas will always inspire us for the creation of ‘Ek Bharat – Shrestha Bharat’. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, public representatives, officials of Sant Ravidas Seva Samiti and a large number of devotees were present.
