Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gave directions to the collectors regarding farmers welfare year 2026. Special emphasis was laid on Kisan Rath, organic farming, stubble management, agricultural industry, cooperative conference and effective implementation of schemes.

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today held a meeting with all the commissioners and collectors of the state through video conferencing from Samatva Bhawan, his residence. In the meeting, necessary guidelines were given to implement the goals of “Farmers Welfare Year – 2026”.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that it is the duty of the government to improve the lives of the farmers who feed the entire society. The overall welfare of farmers is the top priority of the state government. For this purpose, the year 2026 has been declared as Farmer Welfare Year (Agriculture Year). He directed that the Agricultural Year should be implemented in mission mode.

Emphasis on Kisan Rath, dialogue programs and crop diversification

The Chief Minister directed that Kisan Raths should be run during the agricultural year, which should be inaugurated by local MPs, MLAs and public representatives. There should be continuous communication with farmers in small groups. He directed to promote the cultivation of groundnut and urad in place of summer moong, as well as encourage natural and organic farming.

E-development portal, fertilizer balance and benefits of schemes

CM Mohan Yadav said that climate, energy and sustainable agriculture should be promoted through e-development portal. Farmers should be made aware to use balanced quantities of fertilizers. Under the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Yojana, emphasis should be laid on providing benefits to maximum farmers in aspirational districts. Also, wide publicity should be given to increase the production area of ​​pulses and oilseed crops.

Instructions to increase agriculture based industries and milk production

Instructions were given to make all necessary efforts for the development of agro-based industries during the Farmer Welfare Year. The Chief Minister asked the collectors to make coordinated efforts to increase milk production in their respective districts.

Strictness on burning of stubble and straw, initiative to deliver straw to cowsheds

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to put a strict ban on the incidents of burning of stubble and stubble. It was asked to prepare a weed management plan in every district. The stubble and straw from the fields should be used in composite biogas plants. Farmers should be motivated to deliver chaff to the nearest cowsheds, so that the cows can get fresh food.

Effective implementation of agricultural year action plan at the grassroots level

The Chief Minister directed that the action plan decided for the agricultural year should be better implemented at the field level. Special campaigns should be run, small and big programs should be organized and intensive contact should be established with the farmers. Verification of all the beneficiaries, selection of new beneficiaries and simplification of the rules of the schemes should also be done.

State level cooperative conference will be held in March

The Chief Minister informed that Kodo-Kutki bonus distribution program will be organized in Dindori district in the first week of February. There will be a state level cooperative conference in March, in which new agricultural loans, benefits of Krishak Nyay Mitra Scheme and door-step banking services will be introduced through district cooperative banks.
