The producer-director of the film ‘Godaan’, made keeping in mind the conservation of cow, its importance in Indian culture and Panchgavya-based scientific thinking, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday. The trailer of the film was also launched on this occasion. The producer-director said that the most extensive and concrete work at the grassroots level in the country regarding cow protection has been done in Uttar Pradesh, behind which is the clear vision and strong leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This was the reason that inspired him to meet the Chief Minister.
Strict action against cow smuggling in UP under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi
As soon as Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister, vigorous action started against cow smugglers in Uttar Pradesh. Large scale arrests were made and illegal activities were effectively controlled. The result of the Chief Minister’s love and commitment towards cow protection is that more than 7,500 cow shelters have been built in the state in the last nine years. Till now, more than 12 lakh destitute cows have been given protection.
Cow protection committees in every district, DM-SSP got responsibility
To further strengthen cow service, cow protection committees have been formed in every district of the state. In every district, District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police have been made nodal officers, so that the conservation system can be regularly monitored.
