Rainfall continues from the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand to the plains, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Maharashtra. On Monday, Delhi-NCR received continuous rains from morning to night, due to which people faced a lot of problems. There was a huge jam situation in Noida, Gurugram and Delhi. At the same time, due to rain yesterday, there was a problem in the metro and passengers kept waiting at the station for hours.
Red alert of heavy rain in these states
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning that heavy to very heavy rainfall will continue in many parts of the country for the next few days. Torrential rains are estimated in northwest India, especially Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh till 3 September. At the same time, a red alert has been issued for the next two days in the southern districts of Himachal Pradesh, while on the third day, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the eastern parts. In the last 24 hours, more than 21 cm of rain has been recorded in Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Western Rajasthan and parts of Telangana. At the same time, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan have received 12 to 20 centimeters of rainfall. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of cloudy sky and moderate rains on Tuesday.

Rain services also affected rain
Rain and floods have also affected rail services. Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express, Shri Shakti Express and Jammu Rajdhani have been canceled for the entire September. According to railway officials, the track has suffered serious damage between Kathua and Madhopur, which is going on to fix. Meanwhile, the Western Command of the Army is rapidly engaged in relief and rescue operations in Jammu, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. So far more than 5,000 people have been safely evacuated and more than 21 tonnes of relief material has been transported to the affected areas. In this campaign, which has been running since August 16, the army has used 20 aircraft, including advanced light chopper, MI-17 and Chinook.
