Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai released the 24th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana from Narayanpur. Rs 641.34 crore was sent through DBT to the accounts of 68.39 lakh women. Rs 15,595.77 crore has been distributed so far from the scheme.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Friday released the amount of the 24th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana of Chhattisgarh Government from the state level program organized in District Narayanpur. On this occasion, Rs 641 crore 34 lakh was transferred to the bank accounts of 68 lakh 39 thousand 592 eligible women of the state through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
Women empowerment got a new dimension: Chief Minister Sai
During the transfer of funds, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Mahtari Vandan Yojana has given a new direction to women empowerment in Chhattisgarh. This scheme is making women financially strong and helping them to live a self-reliant and respectable life.
Mahtari Vandan Yojana started from March 1, 2024
It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh government had started Mahtari Vandan Yojana on March 1, 2024 with the aim of economically empowering women. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1,000 is being provided every month to married women aged 21 years or above.
Rs 14,954 crore has already been distributed in 23 installments.
Since the launch of the scheme, a total amount of Rs 14 thousand 954.42 crore has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of the women of the state through 23 installments. This arrangement not only ensures financial transparency but is also a strong step towards women empowerment.
Total amount after 24th installment is Rs 15,595.77 crore
After the release of Rs 641.34 crore as the 24th installment by the Chief Minister, the total amount distributed so far under Mahtari Vandan Yojana will increase to Rs 15 thousand 595.77 crore. This reflects the strong commitment of the state government towards women welfare.
More than 27 thousand women of Narayanpur district benefited
There are 27 thousand 272 beneficiary women of Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Narayanpur district. A total amount of Rs 2 crore 72 lakh 72 thousand was transferred to the bank accounts of all these women. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Higher Education Minister Shri Tankram Verma, local public representatives and a large number of villagers were present in this state level program.
