A sensational case that has put relations to shame has come to light from Shahjahanpur district. In Bhatpura Chandu village of Puwayan police station area, a wife along with her lover brutally murdered her husband.
The incident was so horrifying that while the throat was being slit, the husband’s screams kept echoing in the house and the innocent son kept seeing everything with his own eyes.
Horrible incident happened in the dark of night
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Balram, who used to support his family by working as a labourer. Balram lived with his wife Pooja and four children. According to the police, the murder took place late at night. During this time the children woke up and the entire incident happened in front of the son’s eyes.
The mother scolded the child and sent him away
Police investigation has revealed that when son Pawan reached the verandah, he saw that his mother Pooja, lover Aadesh and two other youths were attacking his father. It is alleged that Pooja was holding her husband’s legs, while other people were attacking his neck. When the son asked questions, the mother scolded him and said, “Go away from here, father is feeling the need for needles,” and sent the child away.
Conspiracy started from illicit relations
According to the deceased’s brother Raju, Pooja’s love affair with Balram’s sister’s son Aadesh started about one and a half years ago. Earlier everyone lived in the same house and there were frequent visitors to Aadesh’s house. When the family opposed the relationship, both of them left the house several times, but returned after police intervention.
Balram kept trying to save the family
Raju told that he had advised Balram many times to separate from Pooja, but Balram kept making compromises to save his children and family. This became his biggest weakness.
Wife found crying sitting near dead body
In the morning, when Balram’s brother Raju came to call him for work, he saw Balram’s dead body with a deep wound on his neck. His wife Pooja was sitting nearby and crying. He fabricated a story saying that an unknown assailant had attacked at night. But the son’s statement revealed the whole truth.
Secret of murder revealed by son’s statement
When the police interrogated son Pawan separately, he narrated the entire incident. Pawan told that he heard his father’s screams and saw the murder happening with his own eyes. When he woke up in the morning, he saw his mother sitting near the dead body and crying.
Lover absconds, wife in custody
ASP (Rural) Bhavre Deeksha Arun said that Pooja is being detained and interrogated. She has accused her lover Adesh and his two unidentified accomplices of murder. Hardoi resident Adesh is currently absconding. Forensic team and police officers have conducted investigation on the spot. The police are waiting for the post mortem report and the investigation of the case is going on from all aspects.
