Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given a big statement against the Waqf law amid violence and tension in Murshidabad district of Bengal. Inaugurating the Kalighat Skywalk on Monday, he also gave the message of peace. The Chief Minister said that everyone has the right to protest in a peaceful manner with permission but do not take the law in their hands. Do not come under anyone’s provocation. We have worked in many temples. Religion is its own and celebrations are of everyone.
The Chief Minister said, when I go to another religion program, a lot is said. One should not play unrighteous game behind religion. Religion means peace, unity, culture. If there is a hurt on someone, then we all stand with. The soil of Bengal is the soil of peace. Both Nazrul and Rabindranath Tagore were born on this soil.
Then i promised
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Kalighat Skywalk, the Chief Minister said, “When I built a skywalk in Dakshineswar, I promised that I will also make Kalighat Skywalk but there is a little less space here than there.” The skywalk is 435 meters long and 10.5 meters wide. Religious institutions and cultural institutions attract crores of people. He also talked about the work done by the state government for the development of various temples, mosques and gurdwaras.
Religion means love
The Chief Minister said, religion is for everyone, festivals are for everyone. We go everywhere. If I go to another program, people write against me. We should not play unrighteousness with religion. Religion means love. Religion means peace. Religion means harmony. Religion means unity. There can be no greater religion than loving people.
So why violence, why fight?
When we are born, we are born alone. When we go, we go alone. So why violence, why fight, why unrest? Remember, if you love people, you can win everything. However, if you keep yourself separate, then you cannot win anyone. CM Mamta Banerjee said that when someone hurts, whether it is exploited, neglected, deprived, persecuted or of any religion, we stand with everyone.
Do not take law in your hand
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said without referring to any incident, I will tell everyone that everyone has the right to protest peacefully with permission but do not take the law in their hands. Whatever it is. There is no need for those who break the law. He who has a calm mind wins.
