Rachin Ravindra opens up on craze of MS Dhoni, reveals fans go ‘berserk’ on his appearance

Rachin Ravindra is by far, one of the most exciting talents and among the most captivating all round talents to have emerged for New Zealand in such a long time.

But you could almost attribute his ongoing success at a young age – he is all of 26- to his ability to be cool and handle pressure and the very fact that he seems to be mature in terms of dealing with the changing vagaries of the game.

Here for a possible and enjoyable long run in the game for the New Zealand national side, the future looks bright for the BlackCaps even this post-Kane Williamson era because the country has exceptional talents like Ravindra representing it! But among the many things that one liken Rachin Ravindra to the wider attention and thus to the gift of appreciation among so many is the fact that he reserves such high respect for cricketers he both plays for and against.

And one particular cricketer on whom the widely noted Rachin Ravindra had all sorts of nice things to say about happened to be none other than world cricket’s famous MSD, a cricket legend for who an entire India is crazy for- our very own Mahi aka Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

So the big question is, just what did the young New Zealand all rounder have in store for MS Dhoni and just what were his impressions about the famous and iconic two-time World Cup- wining former Indian captain?

Speaking to the famous Wisen publication media, Rachin Ravindra said the following about Dhoni- ‘The sounds of the ground – blowing and whistles and stuff when MS Dhoni comes on TV is like next level. He’s walking out for warmup, people goes mad, in the airports as well. Even when camera shows him on screen people goes berserk!’

And one reckons, that’s actually a fair description by the left handed New Zealand batter about the great big hitting batter from India’s Ranchi. The amount of fanfair that someone like Dhoni still brings to a cricket ground, that’s when he is no longer in his prime years and having retired from international cricket a few years ago, is supremely noteworthy.

He’s the kind of star player that can fill stadia around the world and sell tickets purely by virtue of participating in a cricket contest. That’s the sort of power and charisma he still holds. Rachin Ravindra and MS Dhoni do share a big common strong point and it’s that they represent the famous Chennai SuperKings side in the popular league, IPL.
