
Giving a big statement, BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has now made strict rules regarding the speaker on the mosques. The Maharashtra Police has also issued instructions in this regard that no longer will be allowed to install speakers on unauthorized mosques in Mumbai and Maharashtra. Along with this, speakers can also be installed on authorized mosques only after taking permission from the police. Along with loudspeakers, instructions have been given to install sound control devices and noise pollution measurements.
Let us know that more than 8000 speakers are being used in more than 2000 mosques in Mumbai city. In this, permission was taken to install loud speakers on just 200 mosques. The remaining mosques did not have permission in this regard.
Mumbai High Court issued order
The Mumbai High Court had also issued an order on January 22, under which the voice or noise of the mosques in which loudspeakers are used were asked to control. Let us know that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had recently announced in the Assembly that strict restrictions will be imposed in this matter. After which, now a manual in this regard has been announced by Maharashtra Police.
A large number of unauthorized mosques
Kirit Somaiya said that there are a large number of unauthorized mosques in the city of Mumbai. Many land mafia are trying to grab land illegally by making excuses of mosque. Somaiya has visited the premises of a dozen such unauthorized mosques in the last two months and has shown these cases to the local municipal and police officers.
According to Kirit Somaiya, the people of Mumbai and Maharashtra should now complain to the local police station immediately against those who place the rules in this case, so that the police order can be followed and the rules are not violated.
Police should take legal action
According to the BJP leader, if the loud speakers installed on the mosques are unauthorized after the complaint, then the police should take cognizance immediately and take legal action against them. Not only this, if the concerned officials of the mosque violate the noise pollution law thrice, then the loudspeaker of the mosque reaches the neighboring settlements, then they can be fined up to one lakh rupees and three to five years jail for continuous violation of the rule. Kirit Somaiya has welcomed the decision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to impose strict ban on playing loud speakers in mosques.
