New Delhi [भारत]July 10 (ANI): Hero’s electric mobility brand VIDA has entered its name in the Asia Book of Records with the launch of its new VIDA Evooter VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh long-range variant. According to a press release from Hero, the new electric vehicle has achieved the record of ‘longest journey by electric scooter’ by completing a nationwide journey of 12,111 km in 52 consecutive days.
The journey started from Bengaluru and ended in Delhi, completed in partnership with rider Girish Shet.
VIDA Evooter VX2 Plus: Price and Specifications
The long-range variant is priced at Rs 1,43,990. The vehicle is equipped with a 1 kW portable charger that charges the battery from 0 percent to 80 percent in 3 hours 30 minutes, and it also supports high-speed DC fast charging that achieves the same charge level in 65 minutes. Infrastructure support includes a network of over 6,000 fast charging stations and over 700 service touchpoints. To provide further convenience to customers, Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plans are also available. The product is scheduled to be available at authorized dealerships across the country by the end of July 2026.
Battery, range and performance
This new vehicle expands the company’s electric portfolio to four different VX2 variants, each aimed at meeting different customer needs. The scooter has a total battery capacity of 4.4 kWh via two 2.2 kWh removable units, giving an IDC-certified range of 187 km. The vehicle is powered by a motor producing 6 kW of peak power and 26 Nm of torque, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h. This includes three riding modes, a 4.3-inch TFT display, turn-by-turn navigation and a CBS braking system.

Nandakumar further added, “With the VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh variant, we are offering a longer range that perfectly meets the long-range aspirations of our riders, further enhanced with an industry-first 1kW portable charger.”
