Two players of Delhi’s Under-23 cricket team have been accused of molesting a 15-year-old minor girl. It is reported that both those players are part of the Delhi team in the Under-23 cricket tournament organized in Puducherry. There has been a stir after the matter came to light. Questions are being raised on DDCA i.e. Delhi and District Cricket Association. Its disciplinary system is being dragged into the dock.

Investigation continues in molestation case

According to the report of Dainik Jagran, the matter has been taken seriously and the players who were accused of molestation were immediately shifted from the team hotel to another hotel. Its official investigation is still going on. This incident of molestation has once again raised questions about responsibility in cricket administration.

DDCA said it was a case of indiscipline

Quoting sources related to DDCA, Jagran wrote that the union demands strict and immediate action in such cases, so that such incidents do not happen in future. Sources further said that such incidents not only hurt the credibility of the game but also harm our reputation.

However, DDCA’s co-secretary Amit Grover says exactly the opposite. According to him, both the players were listening to songs in full sound in the hotel, on which other people in the hotel had objection and they protested against it. No case of players molesting minors has come to light. This is simply a matter related to indiscipline.
