Rinku Singh created history on the field by achieving an unprecedented high during the fourth T20I between India and New Zealand on Wednesday (January 28) at the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam as he took four catches while the visitors’ batting order went on a rampage and posted a massive total of 215 on the board, leaving India to chase a record total.
Rinku ensured things did not go from bad to worse for India on the outfield and sent a timely reminder of why he is widely regarded as one of the finest fielders in world cricket. The 28-year-old took the catches, which ensured India got the key scalps of Devon Conway, Tim Seifert, Glenn Phillips, and Zakary Foulkes.

Previously, there were 15 instances of a player taking three catches in an innings in the shortest format on Indian soil, with a tie between 14 players. Hardik Pandya was the only player to achieve the feat twice.
