USA batsman Aaron Jones was suspended from all forms of cricket due to fixing charges, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed.
The apex body, in its media release, confirmed that Jones, who led in four matches during the T20 World Cup 2024, including the match against India, has been charged with five counts of breaching the anti-corruption codes of Cricket West Indies (CWI) and ICC.
“USA player Aaron Jones has been charged with five counts of breaching the anti-corruption codes of Cricket West Indies (CWI) and ICC,” ICC stated in a release.
As per the media release, the main breaches are linked to the Bim10 tournament in 2023-24, which falls under the jurisdiction of the CWI Anti-Corruption Code, with the other two charges are related to International Matches, which come under the ICC.

Under the CWI code of conduct, Jones has been charges of dealing with fixing or attempting to influence aspects of matches in the Bim10 tournament. He was also charged with failing to disclose approaches to engage in corrupt conduct and failing to cooperate with an investigation by the designated anti-corruption official.
Meanwhile, for ICC, Jones was charged with failing to disclose corrupt approaches to the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) and obstructing an ACU investigation by allegedly concealing or tampering with information relevant to the inquiry. Jones has He has 14 days from January 28, 2026, to respond to the charges.
‘Jones Charges Part Of Wider Investigation’: ICC
The ICC said that the charges are part of a wider investigation, hinting that charges against other persons will also follow in due course
ICC’s statement further said: “These charges are part of a wider investigation which is likely to result in further charges being issued against other participants in due course.
“Jones has been provisionally suspended from all cricket with immediate effect and has 14 days from 28 January 2026 to respond to the charges.”
Jones played 100 international games (52 ODIs, 48 T20Is) for USA. He has also been very active in T20 circuit, playing for the Seattle Orcas in USA’s Major League Cricket and for the St Lucia Kings in the CPL. Jones was last in action at the Abu Dhabi T10 league in November 2025.
