New Delhi: A BJP leader chased down and beat a young woman in Satna, slapping her six times in a row. The girl fell and pleaded to be let go; the video went viral on social media.
BJP Mandal President Pulkit Tandon allegedly assaulted a young woman in Satna district’s Nagoud police station area. After the incident, both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.
It is being reported that this entire incident is related to a love affair. Notably, Mandal President Pulkit Tandon is reportedly married. Despite this, the dispute over his relationship with the young woman escalated to a physical altercation.
The CCTV footage showed commotion and violence, which have created a sensation in the area. The viral video has also raised questions on BJP after their party worker assaulted a woman openly.
At present, the situation regarding official action by the administration and police in the matter is unclear. But after the video surfaced, the demand for investigation and action at the local level has intensified.
Congress accused the BJP and wrote ‘Jungle Raj’ on their social media handle. They also accused Pulkit of threatening the woman and her daughter to withdraw the FIR, bragging that his political connection could not harm him.

The BJP government demanded immediate action against the accused.
According to the victim, Pulkit lured her to his warehouse on the pretext of meeting a customer. When she entered, Pulkit was drinking alcohol and allegedly assaulted her.
Her mother and brother also reached the spot, and Pulkit reportedly damaged her brother’s mobile phone when he tried to record the incident.
