This is the twelfth and last month of the year, in which the worship of Lord Shiva, Shri Krishna and Vishnu has special significance. Big festivals like Mahashivratri and Holi are celebrated in this month. In the month of Phalgun, taking bath with pure water and offering white flowers and Abir-Gulaal to God is considered very auspicious. Religious significance of Phalgun month

Phalgun month has a special place in Hindu religion because it is the twelfth and last month of the year. In this month, winter bids farewell and spring fully arrives, which fills the mind with new energy. Donation and tarpan give special results in Wafalgun. This month is considered best for the peace of ancestors. The birth of Moon is also considered to be in this month, hence special worship is done during this time for mental peace.

Which gods and goddesses are worshipped?

Mainly three forms are worshiped in the month of Phalgun.

Lord Shiva: The union of Shiva and Shakti is celebrated on the holy festival of Mahashivratri. All troubles go away by worshiping Shiva in Falgun.

Sri Krishna: This month is the month of devotion to Kanha. Gulal is offered to Lord Krishna during Phulera Dooj and Holi.

Moon God: Since the name of Phalgun month is based on the constellation ‘Phalguni’, worshiping the Moon in this month provides relief from mental troubles.

Sri Hari Vishnu: There is a tradition of worshiping Lord Vishnu on Amalaki Ekadashi.
