In the last few days, you must have heard about the new rules of UGC. It is being discussed loudly everywhere, from social media to tea stalls. Hearing this, a question might be arising in the minds of many people that what new rule has the UGC made due to which an uproar has started. The uproar is such that some are openly opposing it and some are opposing it through their words. Not only on social media, now at many places people are also expressing their displeasure against it by taking to the streets and intersections. The University Grants Commission has implemented this new rule across the country on January 15, 2026. The intention behind implementing this rule is to eliminate discrimination in colleges and universities. UGC directly wants that no student should be treated unfairly or unfairly on the basis of his caste, gender or background.
