According to the Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Magh month will start from 04:36 pm on Wednesday, January 28 and will continue till 01:55 pm on Thursday, January 29. Since the sunrise of Ekadashi will be on January 29, hence the fast of Jaya Ekadashi will also be observed on this day.

From 11:17 in the morning to 12:39 in the afternoon, from 12:39 to 02:01 in the morning, from 02:01 to 03:23 in the afternoon, from 06:07 to 07:45 in the evening, from 07:45 to 09:23 in the evening
– 29 On January, Friday, wake up early in the morning and after taking bath etc., take water, rice and flowers in your hand and take a resolution for Ekadashi fast and puja. – Collect the puja materials before any of the auspicious times mentioned above. Clean the place where worship is to be done and purify it with Ganga water. – During the auspicious time, place a wooden slab at this place and install a picture or statue of Lord Vishnu on it. Apply tilak with kumkum on the picture of God. – Wear a garland of flowers on the picture, also light a lamp of pure ghee. After this, offer Abeer, Gulal, flowers, rice etc. one by one. – In this fast, sesame seeds are specially offered to God. While worshiping, keep chanting Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya mantra in your mind. – Offer to God as per your wish, keep basil leaves in this offering. After the puja, perform aarti and distribute the prasad among all the people. – Do not sleep on the night of Ekadashi, worship God or keep chanting mantras. Break the fast the next day i.e. on the morning of 30th January. – After breaking the fast with all the rituals, have your meal yourself. In this way, the one who fasts on Jaya Ekadashi remains happy, prosperous and peaceful in his life.
