Laddu Gopal Ki Seva In Chaturmas 2026: The time of Chaturmas is considered very special in Sanatan Dharma. Chaturmas is of four months. At this time, Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the sustainer of the world, goes into Yoga Nidra. Every year, Chaturmas begins on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Ashadha month and ends on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi of Kartik Shukla Paksha. This year Devshayani Ekadashi is on 25th July. Chaturmas will start from this day and then it will end on 20th November on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi.
During Chaturmas, Lord Vishnu is in Yoga Nidra, hence no auspicious work is done during this period. The time of Chaturmas is considered best for staying away from worldly pleasures and for bathing, charity, worship, chanting, penance and meditation. Serving Laddu Gopal also has special significance in Chaturmas. Most of the time of Chaturmas is rainy. There is a humid atmosphere at this time, hence some special things need to be kept in mind while serving Laddu Gopal. Bath and clothing: While serving Laddu Gopal during Chaturmas, special care should be taken about his bathing and clothes. Due to rain in Chaturmas the atmosphere becomes very humid. The temperature also comes down due to rain. In such a situation, bathing Laddu Gopal with cold water is prohibited at this time. At this time, Laddu Gopal should be dressed in comfortable and light cotton clothes. One should not forget to keep the flute.
Of food: Since it rains continuously during Chaturmas, it is said to take special care of Laddu Gopal’s bed. At this time, just like a small child, Laddu Gopal also feels hungry again and again, hence at this time one should keep offering some sugar candy or dry fruits to Laddu Gopal.
Sleeping: Talking about sleep, Laddu Gopal should be given rest for some time in the afternoon. Patting should be done at night by wearing comfortable clothes. Water should always be kept near Laddu Gopal.
Make up: A small fan should be kept near Laddu Gopal during Chaturmas. One should fan while serving Laddu Gopal. Make-up should not be flashy due to rain and humidity.
Of worship: To keep the mind calm during Chaturmas, one should meditate on Laddu Gopal. The mantra ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya’ should be chanted with a pure heart and devotion. It is auspicious to worship with lamp and aarti-kirtan in the evening.
