Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi often comes into controversies. Mohsin Naqvi makes headlines due to his provocative statements, threats in tournaments like World Cup-Asia Cup and his actions like ‘stealing the trophy’. Now even before the T20 World Cup 2026, he has been in the news for similar reasons, where he has been seen hinting at boycotting the tournament. But while he is doing such drama, now he has become a joke with one of his social media posts because in it he wrote the wrong name of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Regarding participation of Pakistani team in T20 World Cup PCB boss Naqvi Has recently started a new drama. Continuing this drama, on Monday 26 January, he went to meet Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. While meeting the PM, Naqvi told him about the issues and options related to the World Cup. After this, the PCB Chairman made a post on the social media platform ‘X’ about the meeting with Sharif and here he was ridiculed.
Naqvi wrote the Prime Minister’s name wrong
Actually, while telling about the meeting with PM Shahbaz Sharif, Naqvi wrote his name wrongly. Naqvi wrote Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif instead of Shahbaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif is the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and brother of Shahbaz Sharif. In such a situation, Naqvi got trapped by writing the name of the Prime Minister of Pakistan wrongly and he became a joke on social media. After some time, he realized his mistake and while editing it, Naqvi wrote the name of Shahbaz Sharif.

Discussion regarding T20 World Cup
As far as the meeting is concerned, after the meeting with Shahbaz Sharif, Naqvi said that the decision regarding the World Cup will be taken on Friday 30 January or Monday 2 February. Naqvi had recently announced that the government of Pakistan will decide on the Pakistani team playing in the T20 World Cup. He held a meeting with Sharif regarding this, but at present Pakistan is deliberately trying to drag this issue further, hence the decision has been postponed.
