Indian nationals in Kuwait will face temporary restrictions on passport, visa and consular services after the Embassy of India announced that only emergency applications will be accepted until Sunday, July 19, 2026.
The embassy said the temporary arrangement is due to administrative reasons. If you were planning to renew your passport, apply for a regular visa, or complete document attestation, your application will have to wait.
Only Emergency Consular Services Available
During this period, applicants must provide documents proving the urgent nature of their request. The embassy will process only a limited range of emergency services, including:
- Tatkal passport applications
- NRI certificates
- Short-validity passports for applicants whose Civil ID validity is expiring
- Emergency Certificates
- E-Visas
Regular passport applications, document attestations, and standard visa services will not be accepted or processed until further notice.
