While checking the CCTV, the police saw a man carrying a sack on the victim’s scooter. Using the scooter’s registration number, officials identified the suspect as Vinay, the woman’s co-worker. Based on this vital evidence, the police tracked him down and arrested him within 12 hours of the body being found.
The accused confessed to the crime of murder
During interrogation, his co-worker Vinay confessed to his crime. He told the police that he was in a relationship with the woman. There were frequent fights between the two because he suspected that she was dating another boy. According to his statement, on January 23, he seduced the woman and took her to his office. There was an argument between the two, during which he killed her by stabbing her.
