Here’s a closer look at the 13 contestants stepping into Inferno this season.
Youn Hyun-jae makes the first impression. Calm and confident, he loves sports and says he’s drawn to women with a pure, innocent look. He’s clear about his strategy too. “If I see my ideal type, I’ll probably pursue her until the end,” he says, setting an early tone of intent.

Song Seung-il enters next with a competitive edge. He admits he doesn’t fall in love easily and claims it’s usually others who develop feelings for him first. It’s a quiet flex that immediately draws attention.

Park Hee-sun, the third contestant, chooses a seat near Hyun-jae. A dancer and former cheerleader, she openly calls herself an attention seeker. Interestingly, she reveals she’s never made the first move on a man. On Inferno, she hopes that changes.

Shin Hyeon-woo follows. A basketball lover, he’s often described as “cute,” especially by older women. His soft charm contrasts nicely with his athletic build.

Kim Go-eun brings pageant polish. Describing herself as having “cat-like features and a puppy-like personality,” she says her nose is her favourite feature. The Miss Korea 2022 runner-up joins the show hoping to meet someone special. She chooses to sit near Song Seung-il, sparking early curiosity. She’s also known as the daughter of former footballer Kim Hyun-soo and was once linked to K-pop star G-Dragon.

Kim Jae-jin lightens the mood instantly. A professional dancer, he describes himself as both mature and immature, and he owns it. His humour lands well, and he settles near Park Hee-sun.
Ham Ye-jin takes a different route. A freelance announcer, she values kindness over looks and calls herself quirky and honest. She admits she’s never flirted before and sits beside Youn Hyun-jae.

Woo Sung-min, an optician working at his family shop, prefers relationships that stay light. He avoids intensity and wants easy banter. Sitting between Ye-jin and Go-eun places him right in the middle of contrasting energies.
Kim Min-gee arrives with star power. A professional track athlete for 17 years, she’s known as the “Goddess of the Track.” Fiercely competitive, she says she pursues the man she wants till the end.

Lim Su-been enters with confidence. A fitness enthusiast, he enjoys swimming and baseball. He hasn’t felt love at first sight yet but hopes Inferno delivers it. He admits his ideal type resembles Lee Da-hee.

Lee Sung-hun stands out for his global appeal. Based in New York, he speaks fluent English and Korean and joins the show in search of real love.

Lee Joo-young follows with bubbly energy. Popular with men, she describes herself as smart and emotionally aware, and she’s here to find her dream partner.

Choi Mina-sue closes the line-up. The first Korean Miss Earth winner, she’s unapologetically self-focused. Drawn to broad shoulders, she loves luxury dates, cuddling and scuba diving, which she says brings her peace.

Backed by producers Kim Jae-won, Kim Jung-hyun and Park Su-ji, season 5 leans hard into emotional pressure, where timing, honesty and courage decide who gets left behind.
