On this occasion, Premanand Maharaj explained the sacrifice of the soldiers, their dedication towards the nation and the true definition of love in very simple but deep words.
Soldier’s service is not a job, but a great penance.
Expressing his deep respect towards the soldiers, Premanand Maharaj said that the work of a soldier is not an ordinary job. He said, wherever a soldier is stationed, he is ready to sacrifice his life for the nation. This is a great penance and sacrifice, which cannot be expressed in words. Premanand Maharaj stressed that today we feel safe inside the country and sleep peacefully, it is only because of those brave soldiers standing at the border who stand firm even after enduring terrible hardships.

Premanand Maharaj made a humble prayer while attacking the mentality of the society. He said that people often mistake soldiers as government employees or mere servants, which is completely wrong. The person who leaves his family, children and comforts and lives only for the protection of the nation, truly deserves respect. It is the duty of every citizen to respect them.

Saint and soldier, two sides of the same coin
Making a very beautiful comparison, Premanand Maharaj said that in his eyes both saints and soldiers are equal. Where the saints do spiritual contemplation of the people of the nation through their penance and sadhana. The meaning of this is that the saints do not just do personal sadhana, but also act as a guide and source of energy for the welfare of the entire nation. Whereas soldiers protect the nation physically and geographically by sacrificing their lives.
Difference explained between love and selfishness
Taking the patriotism of soldiers as an example, Premanand Maharaj also explained the real definition of love. He told that in today’s era, what we call love is often just selfishness. According to Premanand Maharaj, I love you and you love me, this is not love, it is a deal. Real love is one in which there is no expectation of getting anything from the other person. A true lover is one who completely dedicates himself to the nation or God. Soldiers are the biggest example of this, who stand up for the country without any selfishness.
