Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory in view of the Republic Day celebrations scheduled on January 26, 2026, under the police limits of Hyderabad city.
According to the advisory, Governor of Telangana will host the Republic Day reception (At Home) at Lok Bhavan on Sunday, January 26, at 6 PM.
A large number of dignitaries and guests are expected to attend the event. Due to the programme, traffic congestion is likely on Lok Bhavan Road on both sides, from Monappa Island to V.V. Statue Junction (Khairatabad), between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm on the same day.
The Traffic Police have advised motorists and commuters to avoid the affected stretch between 3-9 PM and use alternate routes to reach their destinations. The public is also requested to cooperate with traffic personnel deployed in the area, a statement from the traffic police said.
