AM Ghazanfar: The countdown for the start of T20 World Cup 2026 has now started. ICC’s explosive cricket tournament will start from 7th February. But, before that, a mountain of sorrows has fallen on an Afghan cricketer. Due to the death of his father, there is mourning in his house. The name of the Afghan cricketer from whose head the shadow of his father has been lifted is Allah Ghazanfar. This 19-year-old player has not got a place in the main Afghanistan team selected for the T20 World Cup 2026, but he has been kept in the list of reserve players.
News of father’s demise given through social media
Allah Ghazanfar informed about his father’s demise through social media and expressed his condolences. Allah Ghazanfar is part of Mumbai Indians in IPL. He has also been retained by Mumbai Indians for IPL 2026 for Rs 4.80 crore. This shows how much confidence Mumbai Indians have in his ability.
Ghazanfar made international debut in 2024
Talking about Allah Ghazanfar’s international career, his international debut was in the year 2024. He played his first ODI match against Ireland in March 2024. After that his Test debut also took place against Zimbabwe in December 2024. At last he stepped into T20 International. He played his first T20 International against Pakistan in Sharjah on 2 September 2025.
