Why is India’s auto policy changing?
Till now India’s policy has been clear, ‘make in the country, only then sell cheap’. Higher taxes were imposed so that domestic companies get security and foreign companies do manufacturing in India, but due to the changing global situation and trade pressure, the government is now in the mood to gradually open the market. At present there is uncertainty in the world regarding economic and security. Global trade has been affected by the policies of the Donald Trump administration. In such an environment, both India and EU want to come closer to each other.
