Big Bash match in India: Big Bash League matches have been announced in India. This match will be played on 12 December 2026 at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai. This is a historic step for Indian and Australian cricket. During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Australia, the final approval was given on organizing the Big Bash match in India. The Big Bash match will start in Chennai on 12th December at 2.40 pm Indian time. This match will be played between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Melbourne Cricket Ground during his tour to Australia, where he stressed the importance of cricket in both the countries. PM Modi said that the future of cricket in India and Australia is bright. Here cricket is not a game but a passion. Cricket connects the two countries. He said that by coming to MCG he is able to feel the sporting spirit within him.

PM Modi further talked about hosting the Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games. He said that India is going to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030. We are trying to organize Olympics in India in 2036.
