NEET student death case: Forensic report increases the seriousness of investigation, important questions before SIT
The case of death of a student from Jehanabad, who was preparing for NEET by staying in a girls hostel in Patna, has now reached a more serious turn. The forensic team of CID has submitted its investigation report to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Saturday. The report has been given in a sealed envelope and according to sources, the possibility of cruelty to the student has not been ruled out in it. However, this has not been officially confirmed by SIT yet.
Patna Police, in a press release issued late last night, said that during the investigation by the Forensic Science Lab (FSL), remains of a man’s sperm were found in the clothes worn by the student at the time of the incident. According to the police, DNA profiling of these samples is being done so that it can be clear whose remains belong to them. This is considered an important link for the investigating agencies.
