Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has announced that now social security pension will be transferred directly into bank accounts by the 10th of every month. An amount of ₹1,423.94 crore will be paid to 97.84 lakh beneficiaries from this initiative.
In a post on Twitter, Chief Minister Choudhary informed that a huge amount of ₹1,423.94 crore will be distributed to a total of 97.84 lakh beneficiaries across the state. This fund comprises the financial corpus of pension schemes of both the Central and State Governments.
“Bihar government has ensured payment of Rs 1,100 through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) on the 10th of every month under the Social Security Pension Scheme,” the Chief Minister tweeted.
Highlighting the scope and impact of this welfare initiative, the Bihar CM further said, “Under the pension schemes of the Central and State Governments, a pension amount of Rs 1,423.94 crore will be transferred to a total of 97.84 lakh beneficiaries. This initiative is an important step towards providing financial security and dignity to senior citizens, disabled persons and widowed women.”
