Lucknow. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated Uttar Pradesh Day-2026 at Rashtra Prerna Sthal on Saturday. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Home Minister by presenting a memento. The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the state on Uttar Pradesh Day and also read out the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

‘One district-one cuisine’ will become the new identity of Uttar Pradesh

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while mentioning the ‘One District-One Dish’ (ODOC) scheme in his address, said that this scheme is going to be a big strength of Uttar Pradesh. He said that the One District-One Cuisine (ODOC) scheme has been implemented with the approval of the Home and Cooperation Minister, which will give a new identity to 75 traditional dishes of 75 districts of the state.

Local food products will get global recognition

CM Yogi said that under this scheme, hygienic food, local food items and products made from grains will be promoted. Geo-tagging of local dishes will be done and their packaging, branding and designing will make their export possible as per the national and global demand. This will give every traditional dish of Uttar Pradesh an opportunity to get recognition at the international level.

Strong role of ‘ODOP’ in self-reliant India

The Chief Minister said that along with Rashtra Prerna Sthal, Uttar Pradesh Day is being organized in all 75 districts of the state and also in other states of the country. Wherever the people of Uttar Pradesh live in the country and abroad, they are joining this event.

He told that Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day was celebrated for the first time in the year 2018. The Governor at that time was Ram Naik and the current Home Minister Amit Shah was the national president of BJP. With his inspiration, the ‘One District-One Product’ (ODOP) scheme was taken forward, which has today become the new strength of self-reliant Uttar Pradesh and is making an important contribution in self-reliant India.

Honoring distinguished personalities with UP Gaurav Samman

CM Yogi Adityanath said that five personalities who have done different and special work for the country have been honored with UP Gaurav Samman. These personalities have strengthened Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve for a developed India with their innovation, research and hard work. The Chief Minister congratulated all the honored persons.

New initiative for youth: Sardar Patel Employment and Industrial Zone

The Chief Minister said that ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone’ scheme has also been launched for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. Under this, industrial zone will be developed in an area of ​​100 acres in every district.

He said that the youth who want to start a job or business will be transformed into skill development as per their qualification and capability, which will create new employment opportunities. This scheme was also launched with the blessings of Home Minister Amit Shah.
