CM Bhajanlal Big Decision: Rajasthan Cabinet discussed 4700 posts in higher education, solar power projects, amendment in service rules and conversion bills. There will be 2 lakh new street lights. The conversion bill will be introduced again in the House.

Rajasthan Government Cabinet Meeting: Several important policy decisions were taken in the Rajasthan cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Sunday in Jaipur. After the meeting, a meeting of the Council of Ministers was also called, in which important issues related to the state were discussed in detail. Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa, ministers Jogaram Patel and Sumit Godara shared information about the decisions in a press conference.

Discussion on big recruitment in Higher Education Department

The biggest decision of the meeting was connected to the Higher Education Department. According to the information, it was agreed to start the process of recruitment of about 4700 posts in 374 colleges of the state. Both students and teachers are expected to get relief from filling the vacant posts in colleges for a long time.

Amendment of service rules and policies

The meeting approved the amendment in Rajasthan Services Rules, which will make government employees more comfortable. Also, sewerage and wastewater management policy 2016 was changed and emphasis was laid on reuse of water. It was also decided to amend the rules under the Namami Gange project to make the works more effective.

Solar Energy and Street Light Scheme

The state government approved several new proposals to promote solar energy. According to the Department of Energy, two lakh new street lights will be installed across the state by next Diwali. A provision of additional expenditure of Rs 160 crore has been made for this. This scheme will not only save energy but will also strengthen the security of cities and towns.

Conversion bill again in the House

  • The proposed bill to stop conversion was also discussed. The government will amend it and present it in the assembly again. According to the bill, conversion done by forcefully, deception or temptation will be considered a serious offense. For this, a minimum of 7 years to maximum sentence of 14 years and a fine of up to Rs 5 lakh has been fixed. If such a crime occurs in the case of a minor, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe or disabled woman, then the punishment will be increased from 10 to 20 years. At the same time, life imprisonment on collective conversion and penalty up to Rs 25 lakh is proposed.
  • These decisions taken in the cabinet meeting will give new direction to education, energy and administrative structure in the state. At the same time, the government’s tough stand on the conversion bill can become a big subject of political debate in the coming assembly session.
