India Women’s Squad for Australia Test and India a Squad for ACC Risin

Australia Women’s National Cricket Team vs India Women’s National Cricket Team Match: The selection committee of the Indian women’s national team has announced the full squad for the upcoming one-off Test against Australia, scheduled from March 6 to 9, 2026, at Perth’s WACA ground.

Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy. India’s World Cup-winning batter Pratika Rawal, left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma, and pacer Kranti Gaud have earned their maiden call-ups. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that wicket-keeper G Kamalini has been ruled out of the Australia tour with an injury. Uma Chetry has been named as her replacement in India’s T20I and ODI squads.

Rawal’s selection comes after her strong performances in ODIs, scoring 1,110 runs in 24 matches at an average of 50.45, including two centuries and seven half-centuries. The 25-year-old batter has recovered from an ankle injury that forced her out of last year’s Women’s ODI World Cup semifinal and final. She is not part of India’s upcoming white-ball tour.

Vaishnavi, 20, impressed during India’s U-19 World Cup triumph in early 2025 and made her senior team debut in December during the home T20I series against Sri Lanka. She has played five T20Is so far.

The Test will follow India’s white-ball tour of Australia, which includes three T20Is and three ODIs beginning Feb. 15.
