Will Pakistan also be out of T20 World Cup?

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear that only the Pakistan government will take the decision whether the Pakistan team will play in the tournament or not. This statement has come at a time when the controversy has deepened after Bangladesh was thrown out of the tournament. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had decided not to play the match in India citing security concerns. BCB demanded ICC to hold its matches outside India, but this proposal was rejected in the ICC board meeting held on 21 January. After which ICC included Scotland in place of Bangladesh.

Mohsin Naqvi said, ‘Pakistan government will decide on Pakistan team’s participation in the T20 World Cup. We are waiting for the Prime Minister to return to the country. Injustice has been done to Bangladesh. If the Pakistan government asks us to boycott this tournament, then ICC can include the 22nd team. It doesn’t matter to us. I also said the same in the ICC Board meeting, one rule for one country and another for another cannot work. Bangladesh should not be made a victim of injustice. He is also an important member.
