Thiruvananthapuram: The mystery of the death of a one year old child in Neyyattinkara has been revealed. Police have confirmed that it is a murder. During interrogation, the child’s father has confessed to his crime. Father Shijin told that he had made the child sit in his lap and hit him in the stomach with his elbow. He confessed to the crime during interrogation led by Neyyattinkara DSP on Friday evening. The police will soon arrest the child’s father Shijin. According to the post-mortem report, the cause of death of the child was internal bleeding. Last Saturday, a one-year-old child died during treatment. Amidst suspense over the death, the child’s father has confessed to the crime. After the father’s confession, the police will register a case under other sections including murder.
The postmortem report revealed internal bleeding, but its cause could not be known. It was also found that the child had a stomach injury. After the incident, the police interrogated the child’s parents. No specific information was found in the first round of interrogation. Shijin and Krishnapriya’s one-year-old child died at Kavalakulam in Neyyattinkara. The child also had a fracture in his hand that was about three weeks old.
The parents had given a statement that they were not aware of this. Last Friday night, Shijin and Krishnapriya’s son Ihaan had fallen unconscious. After this the child was admitted to Neyyattinkara General Hospital. But, the child died early on Saturday. The child had become unconscious after eating biscuits brought by Shijin on Friday night. Foam was coming out of his mouth. The color of his lips and mouth had also changed. Its sample was also sent for forensic investigation.
