Medchal-Malkajgiri (Telangana) [भारत]July 9 (ANI): The investigation into the tragic death of a couple found on the railway tracks between Bibinagar and Ghatkesar on July 2 has taken a serious turn. Police are now investigating allegations of forced conversion.
According to a Railway Police official, at around 10:10 pm, the loco pilot of a train saw two bodies ahead of the train and informed the Ghatkesar Deputy Station Superintendent. This information was given to the Deputy SS of Secunderabad and later to the Secunderabad Railway Police Station.
RPS head constable reached the spot and inspected the spot. While making arrangements to take the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem, the police found a motorcycle parked nearby. The keys found in the deceased person’s pocket matched those of the vehicle.
Based on the registration of the vehicle and a mobile phone found with it, the deceased were identified as a 42-year-old rice trader and his 33-year-old wife. Both were residents of Pedda Amberpet. Police said the couple had left home together on a motorcycle at around 7:30 that evening.
At first glance, officials are considering it a case of suicide by jumping in front of a moving train. The real causes of death are being investigated. The couple have two sons, aged 12 and 13.
Son’s allegation – Neighbors pressured him to change religion
Secunderabad Railway Police said the couple’s elder son has alleged that neighbors had pressurized his parents to convert to Christianity. A police officer said, “The elder son of the deceased couple is saying that his neighbors forced his parents to convert to Christianity. We are investigating and collecting evidence.”

The officer further said, “The neighbors belonged to the SC community and the deceased belonged to the BC community. The neighbors are into business, while the deceased were involved in rice trading.”
“We are investigating the matter and will give more information after investigation,” the officer said. Police said that further investigation is going on. (ANI)
