  • ‘iOncology.ai’ has been specially designed keeping India in mind. This will help doctors, pathologists and radiologists use AI-powered data to make faster and evidence-based treatment decisions.
  • The episode featured Lakshmi Panat, Program Director, C-DAC, Professor Ashok Sharma, Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS New Delhi and Dr. Fauzia Siraj, Scientist E and Head of Pathology, ICMR-Centre for Cancer Pathology, New Delhi.

  • These experts explained how digital innovations made in the country are changing the healthcare system and helping in improving accurate cancer treatment.
  • According to the release, the platform has also been linked to the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) ecosystem. This will bring patients’ data onto a secure unified dashboard, which healthcare professionals can access as per their role.
  • Experts emphasized that this platform will help in reducing the increasing pressure on the healthcare system. Nowadays, problems like increasing number of patients, delay in investigation and lack of medical resources are common.
