IND vs NZ 2nd T20I: The second match of the 5-match T20 series between India and New Zealand was played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. In this match, Team India won an easy victory and took a 2-0 lead in the series. In this match, the Indian team easily chased a big target of 209 runs IND vs NZ 2nd T20I. In which the explosive innings of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav had an important contribution.

New Zealand put 208 runs on the board

The start of the match was good for New Zealand. Devon Conway and Tim Seifert batted aggressively in the powerplay. After this, Rachin Ravindra played a brilliant inning of 44 runs in 26 balls. Then captain Mitchell Santner scored unbeaten 47 runs in 27 balls. Glenn Phillips also contributed 19 runs and Darryl Mitchell contributed 18 runs. Due to which the New Zealand team managed to score 208 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

On the other hand, among the Indian bowlers, Kuldeep Yadav took maximum 2 wickets. Whereas, Harshit Rana, Hardik Pandya, Varun Chakraborty and Shivam Dubey took 1 wicket each. However, Arshdeep Singh proved to be expensive and he spent 53 runs in 4 overs without taking any wicket.

Ishaan-Surya’s rapid innings

India lost a few wickets early in the chase, but Ishan Kishan performed brilliantly. He scored 76 runs in 32 balls, which included 11 fours and 4 sixes. His strike rate was 237.50. Ishaan completed his half-century in just 21 balls, which is the fastest T20 half-century by an Indian batsman against New Zealand. After this, Captain Suryakumar Yadav created a stir.

Suryakumar Yadav completed his half-century in 23 balls and scored 82 runs in 37 balls. He remained unbeaten till the end and returned to the pavilion only after leading the team to victory. This innings of Suryakumar Yadav included 9 fours and 4 sixes. Due to which Team India achieved the target at the loss of 3 wickets in just 15.2 overs. With this, India has also become the first team, which has chased the target of 200+ runs in less than 16 overs. Shivam Dubey also came in the end and scored unbeaten 36 runs on 18 balls, which is a good sign for Team India.
