Babar also came up against former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar during the exhibition match. One of the fastest bowlers to have graced the game, Akhtar used to terrorise bowlers with his raw pace and deadly bouncers during his playing days. However, the 50-year-old, who is well past his prime, looked a pale shadow of himself while bowling against Babar.

Babar had no difficulties playing against 50-year-old Akhtar as he capitalised on the loose deliveries from him, dispatching them for boundaries. Babar hit Akhtar for a huge six before smashing two boundaries off his next two balls. A video of the duo’s face-off in the game has gone viral on social media.
